Within the Round Table of Accreditation Bodies of Southeast Europe held on 13 and 14 May 2009 in Skopje, the Accreditation Institute of the Republic of Macedonia signed Cooperation Agreements with the accreditation bodies of the Republic of Kosovo (DAK) and the Republic of Turkey (TURKAK ).

The purpose of these Agreements is to ensure continuous cooperation between the contracting parties in order to harmonize the accreditation process in the region, with the active participation of accreditation bodies in the development and promotion of the accreditation process in the three countries.

The signed Agreements are a step forward in the liberalization of trade in the region and for the European market, which creates another opportunity to remove all possible technical barriers to trade, which is still at a satisfactory level, but such activities will further strengthen .

Under the signed Agreements, the contracting parties will cooperate in the field of accreditation of laboratories that perform testing and calibration, bodies that perform product certification, management systems, persons and inspection bodies. As an expression of their determination to cooperate, the contracting parties will periodically, and at least once a year, establish cooperation programs with specific projects.
