The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) is a global association of accreditation bodies and other bodies interested in the issue of conformity assessment of management systems, products, services, personnel and other similar conformity assessment programs. Its primary role is to develop a unified and world-renowned conformity assessment program that reduces risk to the business and its customers by ensuring that accredited certifications can be trusted. Accreditation ensures users confidence in the independence and competence of accredited bodies. IAF members accredit certification bodies that issue certificates of conformity that certify that management systems, products or personnel comply with certain standards.
