Under the motto Accreditation: ‘Empowering Tomorrow and Shaping the Future’, with an occasion ceremony on 10 June, 2024, the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of North Macedonia (IARNM) marked the World Accreditation Day
Numerous guests attended the event – representatives of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, of the Ministries, of the public and private sectors, of the scientific and the educational institutions, of the healthcare facilities, collaborators, community business representatives, representatives of the accreditation bodies from the region, representatives of conformity assessment bodies and representatives of the media.
In the context of this year’s motto, the event was welcomed by:
– Mr. Metodija Dimovski – Secretary General of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia
– Ms. Arieta Miele, Quality Manager of the General Directorate of Accreditation (DPA) of Albania
– Mr. Irfan Lipovica, acting director of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA),
– Prof. Dr. Dejan Krnjaić – professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade and technical assessor for testing laboratories,
– Mr. Sloboden Chokrevski – Director of IARNM.
In front of the large audience, Prof. Dr. Dejan Krnjaić gave a professional lecture on ‘Standards, assessment, conformity and accreditation – new challenges’.
Mr. Mile Boshkovski also gave his welcoming address, who on behalf of the Business Confederation of North Macedonia presented the Award for Social Responsibility, i.e., for good social practices to the the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of North Macedonia (IARNM).
As part of the ceremony, the following were promoted: the regular edition of the Bulletin for 2023, a brochure and video material on the theme of this year’s motto, as well as dedicated brochures on the accreditation of producers of reference material and accredited certification of persons, and on the achievements and planned activities of the Institute, said the director of IARNM.
The accredited and reaccredited conformity assessment bodies in the period June 2023 – May 2024 were officially promoted at the ceremony.
