On the 29 September 2009, the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia adopted the new Law on Accreditation.
The Law has been aligned with the Regulation (EC) No. 765/2008 and the Law on Institutions. Similarly, the new Law more flexibly regulates the areas subjected to accreditation thus enabling a development of new accreditation schemes; also clearly regulates the validity of the accreditation certificate, the qualifications requirements and competencies of the authorities for management, guidance and technical working groups of the Institute, in order to conform to the standard MKS EN ISO/IEC 17011.
The new Law on Accreditation has been published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No.120 of 2 October 2009.
